In our world of information overload, where tweets, posts, and texts are thrown around like disposable wrappers, it’s easy to believe that words are unimportant or meaningless. But that is not true; words do matter—especially words from the Scripture. Paul ends his letter to the Colossians by explaining that the words we speak and our actions mean a lot and can accomplish far more than we imagine. His final call for the Colossians (and all believers) is for prayer, proclamation, and partnership, intending to seize every opportunity to advance the gospel.
