Early Childhood programming is for children 2 months old to preschool, and meets during the 9AM & 11AM service at Southwood. Our Welcome Desk is just inside the main doors where our Greeters will help you get set-up and directed to the correct classrooms.
Southwood Early Childhood Ministry is divided into classes by age which are led by screened, trained leaders. A typical morning for infants, crawlers, and walkers includes play and meaningful interaction in a safe, loving environment. The TWOs, THREEs and FOURs classes have a routine that includes a Bible lesson, hands-on activities, snack time, and play time.
At Grace Kids we love to welcome kids with all abilities to participate in our programming. We have a Grace Kids Buddy program available upon request for kids who might need individual attention on Sunday mornings. See below for more information and a Buddy request form. Our desire is to provide a Buddy for each child who would benefit from this program, but we may need time after a request is submitted to find a volunteer to partner with each child. We also have a Sensory room, which is a self-contained classroom where children with special needs are loved, known, and enjoy learning about Jesus during the 9am service. If you have any questions or feel either of these may be a good option for your child, please contact SouthwoodChildren@grace-bible.org.
If your child has an allergy, please let us know during check-in. The allergy will be noted on your child's name tag and highlighted in yellow. The following snacks are offered at Southwood on Sunday mornings: Infants - bottle or food from home only; Crawlers - plain Cheerios or Goldfish; Walkers, TWOs, THREEs, & FOURs - Goldfish crackers or aniaml crackers.
If you have any questions, email SouthwoodChildren@grace-bible.org.
Southwood Elementary only meets during the 9AM service in the Education Building at Grace Southwood. Our Welcome Desk is just inside the main doors where our greeters will help you get set-up and directed to the correct classrooms.
At Southwood, the elementary ministry is divided into different classrooms based on grades: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and our Sensory Room. Our 5th & 6th graders also meet together during the 9AM service. Please see our Grace 56 section below for more information.
A typical morning includes connect time for our kids and their leaders, large group time focusing on worship and a lesson, and small group time for deeper discussion and games.

FUN is an important component for ministry in Grace 56. Connect time involves 4-square and time to hang out with friends and leaders.
Every week a leader kicks off the lesson with a 3-5 minute teaching point that prepares 56ers for small group discussions.
5th and 6th graders join our Elementary students for a time of worship and prayer before seperating and doing their own large group lesson.
Small groups are the heartbeat of Grace 56. Each small group is a place where 56ers can have open discussions about life using the Bible as their foundation.
