Why Should I Go? |
Grace Bible Church's short- and long-term mission trips are an important element in our ministry relationships throughout the world. They fulfill our quest to raise up next generation leaders to reach our world for Christ. Team members develop personal relationships with missionaries and ministries worldwide and a few in our backyard as well. These trips are great discipling tools and they help develop long-term, career missionaries out of GBC! Participants catch the vision and burden for the harvest as they serve others in teaching the nations about Christ. |

Steps in preparing for a Short-Term Mission Trip |
Going on a short-term trip can be one of the most rewarding experiences in your life. Here are some suggestions to get you moving... - 1. PRAY! Ultimately God will put you on the right trip at the right time in your life.
- 2. EXPLORE the many opportunities available. Click here for information on the upcoming trips GBC is offering. There is also an excellent resource center on the wall in the foyer of the church for trips with other great organizations.
- 3. CONTACT the appropriate persons/organizations. Trips are as varied as the people who go on them. To request more information about any of the trips, click here.

Concerns |
What about safety? - The leadership of Grace Bible Church will not send a short-term team into an area if current security concerns are considered too high or risky.
- Because we focus on areas where we have long-term ministries through our overseas workers, we are already tuned in to the unique challenges of a particular region.
I can't afford it... - People going on short-term trips are encouraged to rely on God and His people to help raise funds for trips. One of the most exciting parts of the process of going on a short-term trip is seeing God's provision in new ways you never dreamed possible.
I don't want to "beg" for money... - When people give, they are ultimately giving to God's work, not to you. We will work with you to come up with creative and effective ways to invite other Christians to be involved with what God is doing through you.
I'm not "spiritual" enough go... - If you’re "struggling" in your life or walk, it may not be a good time to go. Talk to a pastor or leader. But if you are feeling "weak" you are probably in the best position to be used by God because His strength is perfected in our weakness (2 Cor. 12:9).
